Best Online Masters in Public Health (MPH) Degree Programs

As the world continues its evolution, more and more is being learned about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. From eating a proper diet to combatting the latest diseases, the issue of public health is one that has rapidly advanced to the forefront. For those people who wish to devote their careers to helping others feel better and live healthier lives, a degree in Public Health may be a perfect choice. There are many options available for graduates of Public Health degree programs. For example, many find employment with health care facilities as nutritionists, helping organizations plan the best foods for their patients. Others find employment with school systems, helping them ensure children get the proper nutrition needed in their meals. Other look to disease prevention, often working with relief agencies to assist populations with disease education and prevention. To help those interested in these careers, we’ve compiled our list of the Best Online Master’s in Public Health degree programs.

How We Arrived at Our Rankings

When evaluating the various Public Health degree programs available online, we looked at many points of interest. Among these were affordability, accreditation, curriculum diversity, faculty experience, student success upon competing the program and many others. A school’s reputation, combined with the diversity of its curriculum, make some schools more attractive than others. Many of the best programs had several different concentrations from which students could choose, such as international health, nutrition, healthcare administration and more. We also evaluated whether the program was designed for all types of students or specific groups such as working adults already employed in the field. Affordability, always a concern with college students, plays a big part in whether a school is popular with students. Some schools are known for providing large amounts of financial aid to students, while others have expertise in working with veterans or other specific populations. While any rankings can ultimately be viewed as subjective, we took what we felt were the most important issues to potential students into consideration, ultimately agreeing on our list of the best available programs.
